I really love being in my little shop in Corbridge at the moment - and for many reasons. For one thing it's my own space, I currently run it on my own but I don't mind because it's my sanctuary, set slightly back from the real world, where I am surrounded by dragonflies... which of course I love. I do have customers popping in and out for company, many have quickly become friends and now and again some venture in who can only be described as kindred spirits. They might be local or just visiting Corbridge from far away, but it's always lovely...

Well I have never got around to,or been brave enough ,to have a dragonfly tattoo but this secret desire has led me to discover some amazing dragonfly designs from worldwide tattoo artists. This month we opened our shop and as a result you might have noticed that we have changed our website name to The Pond Corbridge. THE POND- being the new platform for The Dragonfly Garden and Grove Pond Yachts.I am still and will always be obsessed with dragonflies and my husband will probably never shake off his passion for pond yachts either, so we have teamed up on the pond where our dragonflies and pond yachts have found a mutual home and make for a very unusual gift shop. For thousands of years dragonflies have been symbolic and deeply meaningful to different people and different cultures all over the world. One of the most simplistic, yet meaningful, dragonfly symbols can be found in the culture of the Native North American Indians .
